Stand Together Project

The Stand Together initiative trains, inspires, and equips middle and high school youth to take action against stigma toward peers with mental and/or substance use disorders. The goal is to reduce negative attitudes, beliefs, and social distance between students with these disorders and their peers.

The custom-built WordPress theme features a homepage with a call to action bar as well as well as some visual interactions. The story boxes have images with fade-in color interactions and the featured blog posts use a zoom-in feature on hover.

The Projects page provides Stand Together a platform for showcasing the projects they’ve done. The project portfolio has a filter for projects within Allegheny County, Other Regions and Show All. When hovering over one of the project images, the title text and short description show. When clicked, a functional lightbox provides a larger image with the project details below.

Lastly, the blog is a standard blog layout with custom styled pagination. Each blog post pulls in the featured image on both the preview tile as well as in the individual article. For featured blog posts, the featured image is transitioned to black and white to match the color style of the homepage.
